Ocean Cave Painting

This Painting was done for my friend for her birthday. For a long time, she had asked me to do a painting for her living room of a starfish cave, and I had never actually did one for her. Once her birthday rolled around, I decided to paint it for her. It's two seperate canvas' but one cohesive piece. I think it turned out good, and she was extremely stoked.

Buddha Paintings

This is one of two Buddha acrylic paintings I have done. There's something about a Tibetan Buddha face that seems so tranquil and at peace. I liked the sloppyness of this one.... like the paint was dripping.

This canvas has been painted probably about five times with random stuff......the end result being another Buddha. I had seen an old statue on TV that looked like the original outside paint was flaking off revealing the original color underneath, and that gave me the inspiration to paint this one. It's not the best, but I think it has it's own unique look to it.

Tattoo Draft

This is a first round drawing I did for a friend of mine's tattoo accross his upper chest. I initially drew this and then he made some changes, so I redrew it and colored his, but kept this one.

Black Paper with White Pencil

I really liked this piece back in the day (highschool) when I did it. It is actually a black piece of quilted paper and I drew the guy with a white colored pencil. It was challenging, because you have to look at shading in reverse as apposed to using a normal graphite pencil. Once I finished drawing the guy, I covered the whole thing with clear contact paper and then cut out around the guy, then airbrushed the red around him. I thought it turned out good.

Candy Coated Girls

Here some pics of my overly colored girls....candy coated for lack of a better name. They are sort of my "signature" pieces if you will, and I wanted to create a series of them, and still will eventually, but haven't had the time. They are drawn with colored pencil, some poeple think they were drawn with pastel and are surprised that they are just colored pencil. I initally drew the orange eye one a long long time ago, and then I decided to follow it up with the green haired one, and then finally the pink one. I almost sold the orange eye to a dentist back in the day but enventually decided against it.....for some reason I cannot part with some pieces! I should have made him a copy or redrew another, I have also had offers on the pink one too......yet I still have it!

Portraits (black & white)

These are some portraits of people done with regular graphite pencil.

Of course eveyone know's who this is.......Bob has been one of my favorites that I have ever drawn up! I was in the zone when I started this one, and he took me literally about an hour and a half to do. I know that sounds crazy...(it sounds crazy to me too, but I speak the truth!) People have tried everything from bribery to stealing it from me, but it's mine, and I don't think I can ever part with this one.

Kurt Cobain is another favorite of mine. I love Nirvana, and I had to draw the now iconic frontman. When drawing him up, for some reason my shading was very light. Normally I have a tendency to draw heavy, but he turned out very soft, and I liked the effect. I worked on him off and on for a good week, his beard was my toughest issue, but I think he turned out awesome.

Marilyn Monroe was never really on my mind to ever do, I ended up being asked to draw a picture of her for a good friend of mine's mom because she collects Monroe memorabilia. I liked the picture I made for her and decided to draw up one for myself. I shaded lightly for her also and I think the softness suits this pic.

I have some others too, but at the moment I can't locate them. I have an Elvis, and a Jim Morrison which is another one of my faves. When I find them, I'll post them.
